Current technical setup

In the current version, NewRent stores your report data (including photos) only locally in your browser. The PDF is created in your browser. This data is currently not transmitted to our servers. You can delete it via “Start over” or by clearing your browser data.

Once direct sending is introduced, the data required for it will be processed on our servers or by our service providers. This policy will be updated beforehand.

Data processed

• Name, email, optional phone number
• Home address, move-in date, property details
• Property manager or landlord incl. contact details
• Defect descriptions and photos
• Technical data when visiting the site (IP address, time, browser) in server logs
• In future: verification and delivery data

Purposes

• Creating and editing the report
• PDF generation
• In future: sending to the property manager and confirmation to you
• Abuse prevention and security
• Support
• Statistics only in anonymised or aggregated form

Service providers

Hosting: Lovable and its infrastructure partners (incl. Cloudflare). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. In future: database/storage, email provider and possibly analytics – listed here before use.

Transfers abroad

Some providers may process data outside Switzerland (e.g. EU, USA). We ensure appropriate safeguards under the FADP.

Sharing and monetisation

We do not sell personal data. Sharing personal data with partners for commercial purposes would only happen with your separate, voluntary and revocable consent.

Retention and deletion

Local data stays in your browser until you delete it. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security.

You have in particular the right to access, rectify and delete your data. Contact us at the address above. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We update this policy when our processing changes.
